GANTER delivers pure elegance: a masterpiece in marble
As general contractor, GANTER, in partnership with the French construction giant Dumez, built the office for the French insurer Covéa in Paris. An impressive reception area was built on over 300 m², representing luxury in the truest sense of the word. Together with the architects of the renowned Studio Putman and the specialists for more complex and technically demanding construction projects, the construction company Dumez, GANTER was able to complete this project in only 5 months. The perfection of the execution has resulted in a building that reflects the elegance of Paris in every detail.
Handcrafted down to the smallest detail
Already a year ago, the project team initiated the first preparatory steps in order to be able to realize the demanding details in the execution later. Together with the project architect, they travelled to the marble quarries of Carrara in Italy to select the perfect marble slabs personally and on site. The diverse and beautiful stones used for the impressive floor mosaic also come from the quarries of Tuscany in Italy. The stones of the finest marquina and Carrara marble were used for the fan-shaped patterns of the floor mosaics. More than 1.3 million mosaic tiles were laid manually on an area of 200 m² – a masterly detail work! The stylish reception counter and information desk was also realized by Ganter. The marble bench combines elegance with practical comfort. The “Pièce de Résistance” of the project is without question the illuminated library. In a masterpiece of engineering, a 360° rotating floor was installed on which four fixed shelving elements are fixed.
