Holiday apartments in Swiss chalet style
The charming alpine village of Andermatt in Central Switzerland has been developed into an attractive year-round Destination in recent years. A car-free resort with a high quality of life and family-friendly leisure and sports facilities has been created. Here, Ganter as general contractor together with Andermatt Swiss Alps AG has built the five-storey apartment building “Alpenrose” in a prime location and also realised the Biselli restaurant and the interior fittings of the twenty luxury holiday apartments.
The buyers had the choice between two interior styles: “modern rustic” and “modern light”. They combine traditional elements with modern design, redefining the Swiss chalet style. The traditional materials of wood and natural stone add character to floors and walls to create a cosy atmosphere, but contrast deliberately with designer lights, high-quality furniture and clear lines. Another material from the alpine surroundings turns up in the bathrooms, where tiles made of quartzite from Vals can be found. On request, however, custom interior design following the buyers’ specific wishes is an option in the Alpenrose building.
