GANTER just realised Porsche Driver’s Selection Store in China’s first Porsche Experience Centre in Shanghai
Just in time for Porsche’s 70th anniversary, the Porsche Experience Centre in Shanghai provides an extra attraction. The popular destination, located at the world-famous Shanghai International Circuit in the Jiading District of Shanghai, is supplemented by a Porsche Driver’s Selection Store that our GANTER colleagues from Shanghai just completed.
The store concept, designed by ATELIER 522, was realised by GANTER Shanghai. They adjusted and optimised the implementation planning to keep the very tight schedule. GANTER signed responsible for the installation of the wall fixtures made of MDF and HPL elements and the loose furniture as well as for the placing of the illuminated wall- and hanging screens, which accompany the shopping experience with moving images.
The reduced colour palette of the interior results from the white, monochrome MDF- and HPL-elements. Used as wall panels and for the loose furniture they build the perfect surrounding for the exclusive collection of the Porsche Driver’s Selection. The horizontally mounted panels structure the plain and lucid design of this modern store concept. The overall impression is defined by clear and noticeable horizontal lines which reflect the dynamic design language of the sports car manufacturer.
Due to a proposal of GANTER, the wall substructure was already built up at construction site for pre-installation works to keep to the timetable: The project had to be realised within 6 weeks. All wall panels had to be installed in advance to adjust the gaps perfectly and to correct differences. The only way to provide a perfect frame for the reduced linear structure. Finally, all the freestanding fixtures and the visual merchandising elements were delivered.
The Porsche Experience Centre offers the perfect day out for the whole family. Now the thrilling driving experience for all ages and levels of experience is complemented by a Porsche Driver’s Selection Store where Porsche drivers and enthusiasts can purchase high-quality Porsche brand products of the Porsche Driver’s Selection – sporty, elegant and in the minimalist style that is typical of Porsche.
